Project Details
Defence Establishment Orchard Hills is one of the larger Defence Estates in New South Wales. It is reclaimed farming land from circa 1910. Following substantial investigation into the condition of the estate and its long term regeneration prospects, Bermagui Constructions was engaged to carry out land remediation works.
Initially the works included the removal of redundant structures that disadvantaged the natural performance of the site, secondly to install causeways’ and crossings allowing proper use of training and maintenance vehicles, third was to restore areas to their natural topography, including the reinforcement of associated river and stream banks and carry out substantial bush regeneration
