6^th Brigade Relocation, Headquarters Refurbishment

Bermagui Constructions was contracted by the Department of Defence to refurbish building 1 and building 29 to provide new head quarters for the relocation of the 6^th Brigade.

Building 1 is the iconic sand stone building fronted by the sports field. Building 29 heavily secured building with restricted access. The scope of work include an office refurbishment and fit out with the inclusion of a new “Secret” level video conferencing facility with its own separate air conditioning and ASIO approved security system. The Defence Secret Network and Defence Restricted Networks where installed to provide the operational requirements of the 6^th Brigade. The relocation of the 6^th Brigade is a strategic component of the Department of Defence capability upgrade.
